I Choose COL Financial As My Stockbroker

When you decide to invest in the stock market, you will need someone to buy and sell stocks for you. That’s when stockbrokers come into play.

There are many stockbrokers which you can choose from but in this post, I decided to try COL Financial’s trial account. This broker is the one most Filipino investors prefer to use because of the unique services and reports it provides.

As a newbie, I wanted to know what it feels like to use their services so I immediately signed up for the trial account and explored the website.

Interestingly enough, I found very useful tips and information which at first I didn’t know how to interpret.

COL Financial 7-Day Trial Account

What I did is that I used the 7-day trial period to study all the terminologies mentioned in their website and in their investment and technical reports. It surprised me that after the 7-day period, my account hasn’t been deactivated and up to this writing, I can still log in it.

There are also charting services where you can see the Simple Moving Averages, Exponential Moving Averages, MACD Charts, Relative Strength Index, etc. I suggest browsing Investopedia.com to know more about the terminologies being mentioned here but for now, we’ll just leave it as is.

I applied for a COL Starter account last Saturday, June 6, through email. A COL Starter account requires investors a minimum of Php 5,000.00 initial deposit.

I filled up the forms, scanned it, then I sent my filled up forms to have it checked by their account representative. I downloaded the forms here. I’ve included a scanned a copy of one of my valid ID’s with a clear picture and signature plus one billing statement. I sent two valid ID’s just in case.

After I sent it, I just waited for their confirmation if there is anything else I need to send or clarify. If everything’s fine, they will require me to send the original documents to their office.

The account representative told me that my documents are good and they now require me to send it to them via courier. I’ll have it sent tomorrow and hopefully, my application can now be approved so that I can now start investing.

For those who want to inquire about their services, you can contact them at these numbers:
