I’m Now A Stock Market Investor!

Today is a very memorable day for me because today, I can now officially call myself a stock market investor. I bought my first ever stock; 1,000 shares of Megaworld Corporation (MEG) at PHP 4.88 per share today.

So what does this mean actually?

• It means that I now own a share in the ownership of MEG.
• I’m now also entitled to a small portion of all the assets of MEG.
• It also means that I’m now MEG’s business partner and is entitled to all the future earnings the company will bring in from selling its products and services.

It Means That I’m Now Officially A Stock Market Investor!

Now I wonder what if I consistently buy shares every month until I accumulate at least 1% ownership of MEG? That would cost me millions even billions of pesos before I actually reach that 1%. The thought is overwhelming and that excites me. If it excites you too, you now have a rich mindset.

I bought MEG because it passed almost all of the indicators of a company with a durable competitive advantage after studying its 5-year financial statements. I also checked what the analysts at COL Financial say in their Investment Guide and I concluded that this stock is on a bargain and is a good buy.

I’m planning to accumulate more shares of this great company for now and will start diversifying later on to spread my risks.
