One of my goals is to make one million pesos in the stock market before I reach 40 years old. It’s my dream to become rich and everyone else’s dream too. The only question is how do we essentially do it? So here are some tips that I do to reach my million peso dream.

It doesn’t mean that you have to pay and attend expensive money making seminars from seasoned mentors. Finding a mentor is as simple as reading their books and studying their investing strategies. I suggest reading some books about Warren Buffet and Benjamin Graham and try to learn what they have to say about how they amassed their enormous wealth. Having a mentor will give you valuable insights and principles in which you can apply to yourself towards success.

Don’t stop learning

If you fail, don’t make it a reason not to try again. Learn from your mistakes and never give up. Success is knowing what to do after you fail. Invest in knowledge to have a stronger foundation of your future success.

Compound Interest is your friend

If you invest at stocks today, you won’t make a million next year, or the following year either. Set a realistic goal, do the math and let compound interest work for you.

Find other sources of income

I started blogging to share to my readers the wisdom I gained for the past 5 months about personal finance and stock investing. I plan on monetizing my blog sometime in the future to add more funding to my investments and my frugal living. But that’s just me. But of course, you can think of other ways to increase your income; I suggest finding something that you are passionate in doing and make a profit out of it.

The thought of investing in stocks to gain financial freedom and to share my experiences to other people gave me the dedication and motivation to pursue this dream. It’s this thinking that motivated me to change my beliefs and principles and act upon it.

Of course, there’s a lot of things that we need to learn to make our first million. We need all the hard work and patience we can muster. You’ll be surprised one day, you’ll be walking with a million pesos sooner than you expected.
