The money game

I’m gonna tell you a secret.

Do you know what makes the rich people richer and the poor people poorer? Do you know how an individual can jump from a typical employee who works for a company to become the person who now owns a couple of companies? Do you know the secret behind Manny Pangilinan’s success on how he manages PLDT, TV5, Philex Mining and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation? How about, Henry Sy? What is his secret on becoming the richest man in the Philippines? Or perhaps the likes of Lucio Tan, John Gokongwei, Enrique Razon and Andrew Tan? Do you know what made them the most richest and influential persons in the Philippines?

The secret lies deep within their mind. They’ve unleashed the financial giant that resides deep within their minds.

Now you wonder, how did they do it? Or the question you want answered is, can I do it?

I tell you, yes you can.

The truth is, these business tycoons aren’t born with the money to begin with. But they did something later on in their lives that a typical Filipino isn’t aware of. That is mastering the money game.

I wasn’t born to a rich family with a big house. We were just a middle class family striving for day to day living. When the asian financial crisis of 1997 hit the Philippines, Our family went into debt. A debt that cost the loss of our business, and our home. We have recovered our losses since back then. Like me and many other typical Filipinos, we weren’t always born lucky.

But I ask myself, If I can teach myself how to play the money game like most of these business tycoons did, I too can be rich like them. Right?

Then I ask myself, what is this money game anyway?

Like most of us, we want to rush in and play a game that we really know nothing about. The people mentioned above mastered the things that they needed to know on how to play the money game in real life situations. They didn’t just magically become rich. They put in something to get something. They made their billions by investing money, time, effort, talent and intelligence.

What’s great about these people is that they know how to make the most of what they have. Like most Filipinos, they invest almost all of their money, time, effort, talent and intelligence but still receive very little. I realized that those people who have mastered the money game are those people who make something out of nothing and get almost everything.

Playing the money game isn’t as hard as you think it is. Think of the game as like a puppet and its puppeteer. Be the puppeteer, not the other way around. Learn to become the money master. Master the money game. Whatever your current situation is, whether you just loss your job, have trouble staying in business or in you’re in deep debt, there is always something that you can look forward to; and that’s a big pile of money! Learn to unleash the giant in your mind. Have the right mindset and you are on your way to success.

To your success!
